Is it a fault of the tablet I'm viewing these results on?
For some reason, all of the images are truncated with the R.H. side missing....
...unless i slide it across, whereupon all the missing parts of the images slide into view

I'm not seeing these effects on any other pictures posted in other threads on Nikongear ???

Hi Birna
So this is just curiosity, rather than something that I'm suggesting should be fixed

a) I didn't notice much change when I looked at these images again on my Android tablet after the change you mentioned in your message to me.

However the display on Android allows me to click and scroll right or left. so I can inspect all parts of the image (even if other parts fall off the edge).

b) But (finally) viewing this one thread on my Windows PC, I notice that
- The "NG 10 years" thread shows unusual behaviour in not resizing images as you change the session window size. It's very easy to only see a cropped version of the image unless your display settings and the browser window allow a very wide width
The ability to scroll left or right isn't available on Windows

- Other threads do re-size so that the whole image is always displayed, however small

See example screenshots below
1) Ann's image - only part is visible unless you expand the size of your viewing window
2 & 3) Elsewhere on NG, images resize according to the size of your viewing window, ensuring you always see the whole image

And example 1) is very much as Ann's image appeared when I first looked at this thread. I thought the bisected crop worked quite well!!

Curioser and curioser ....

The only thing coming to mind is that I assembled the competition images in a locked thread inside the Admin area, then later moved the thread + attached images into public view. Perhaps some restrictions were added to the attachments that carried over??? Since my normal user has Admin rights, I might not have experienced the

The reduced forum width setting I changed looked nice on my Android, but ugly on my PCs.

The point is noted anmd topic closed.
