To followup on the current solar storm reported in the May thread (

Lots aurora images from US "lower 48" have been posted at Spaceweather.com, while there is no dark to enjoy it here. First a recall when the culprit, AR4100 started appearing again for the 3rd time May 25, previously posted in the May thread, and then a capture of its current position in the upper middle frame from today, June 1. Nikon 500PF+ TC-20E III and Baader AstroSolar film ND 5.0 on ASI678MC astro camera, stack of the best 15% of 1500 frames captured in 12-bit mode. Open in new tab for larger versions.
