Aarhus Ø
« on: October 09, 2015, 11:18:36 »
Aarhus harbor is changing, they are building new appartments and office buildings to create a new city area. One hilarious part is the naming. A few years ago the city counsil decided to replace Å with Aa to make it more international, so Århus is now named Aarhus instead and it of course cost quite a few millions. Not too long after, they decided on the name for the new city area on the harbor: Aarhus Ø.

Here's a couple of images from the area.

appartments like cruise ships - these repeating structures are good photographed

maybe try them in soft and in hard contrast, it might give  nice variations

the crane in the first pic, is it for jumping?

Are these bright green buildings already?

I know Denmak shows a lot of dedication to become CO2 free
in 2050 not only Copenhavn...

Thomas: Thanks for the comments, I might try your suggestions, though it'll have to wait until after the weekend. I don't think the crane is used for jumping, they are still busy building on the harbor.

Frank: I don't know how green they are, I would guess they are resonably energy efficient. As far as becomming CO2 free in 2050, we've recently gotten a new government which seems to intend on working against that goal. Just today they have announced a new law about electric vehicles, they have until now been free of tax, not so anymore. Hilariously, they think a lot more people will buy electric vehicles now...
