I guess you must have been on the ISS to get this latest one Elsa?
I really like the overall effect - like something from a Sci Fi film.

Elsa, I like the fact that you saw clouds in front and behind the moon.
That must have been quite a trip!

Stunning photos everyone.

I missed it entirely. Got up at 04h00, but it had already set behind the trees (I live in a hole).

This is the following night.

I wasn't able to capture the rising blood moon.  Too much cloud cover.  It was thicker than mud to the east!  I did catch this a few hours later when the moon had risen above most of the cloud cover.  I only had a 200 zoom available, so this was cropped well over 1:1.  Excessively sharpened in LR.  :)

Mike - cropping the moon is a given for most of us.

Peter - I like the sharp pimpled rim on yours.

Jan Anne - that moon of yours looks alive with the glow. nice

TY Elsa. Gee, you mean to tell me that the other photo's posted were cropped?  I was sure that they were all taken with a telescope. LOL! :P :P :P   >>I just wanted to factor in the high amount of cropping that I used.  Great thread.  I really liked everyone's photo.  TY 4 sharing!
