Some old street shots I have no heart to bin
« on: September 14, 2015, 01:27:56 »
Some of the shots I did not rate, but did not get rid of either. Some slice of London street life.

I can understand why you did not bin them. The two guys standing with their beers and the dog stand out in this series.

cheers

Two of these appeal to me emotionally and I cannot put my finger in it really.

The two commedians (see the equipmet, red hat etc.) having a beer, this picture is intimate with a high presence.

The woman in the fancy green fur being interviewed (or light metered?). She seems to listen so closely yet slightly alienated...

Great series of shots. I like two and four especially. The colors and attitudes are remarkable.

Excellent work. Silent, non disturbing. Pure emotions. Pleasure in viewing them.

Why would you bin these?  They are very good.

Thanks Anthony, I have, probably, a rather formalistic approach to my street photography and look for some particular ingredients that are lacking in these shots. Interestingly the first shot is somewhat closer to what I am looking for than the rest here, but no one seems to share my taste :).

Anyway, thanks everybody for your replies that was a very generous assessment. :)

These are beautiful photos, Alexander. Truly excellent! I can also see why you like Ricoh GR!  :)

Thanks Anirban.  These were shot with FUJI XT-1.
But I do like Ricoh GR :) Below are a couple of shots with Ricoh:

Oh I mistakenly thought earlier ones Ricoh too. Very cool shots, all of them. I'm already fan of your style of photography.  :)
