Nepal: Picture that brings my memories back
« on: September 22, 2015, 20:47:41 »
Over the years I took many photos that I'm happy or even proud of. But out of them only few are bringing back the whole scope of senses and you feel like time has stopped in that moment. I still remember smell of the incenses sticks, very special intimate moment, the joy of life.

This is taken in Dingboche at altitude approx. 4500 meters above sea level. I was staying in this house for more than hour. And the secret for beeing invisible is beeing accepted. There were many family members there. I eat with them kind of dumplings fried in a large bowl. I still remember the taste, not perfect, rather heavy tasting with more pie than the vegetables inside. Rather chewy taste. But this is not about the kitchen quality, right?

My english is limited and I cannot express all what I felt that day. I hope that looking at the pictures you will feel the same. This is one of my best shots. And not taken by my bellowed Nikon.

Small and discrete camera. Ricoh GR.

Wonderful atmosphere.  I spent one year in Nepal from 2003 to 2004 and your photo really takes me to back to the mountain tea houses, thanks for sharing.
