Hi Mike! If I am not mistaken, this bridge was badly damaged by fire a few years ago. I presume it was rebuilt?

Not familiar with the subject, but the depicted bridge surely looks nice. You have dealt with the darker areas under the roof well so as to make these mesh well to the sunlit background.

Viv, yes indeed about 2/5 of the bridge was destroyed by fire, the 3/5 you can see was not damaged, the lady who was conducting the walking tour showed us a photo of when the bridge was ablaze, horrific.

The second picture shows some of the damage that has been left as part of the bridges history! Apparently a lot of very old paintings on the bridge were destroyed!

Another view of the bridge, the section on concrete piers was the section damaged by fire! Plus a few swans bottoms.  :)
