There are some terrific interpretations of the Geyser fotos in this Challenge. Very cool stuff!!

I like the way the water & steam were detailed in the edits of John, Jørgen and Jakov (and great colours Jakov!).
I like the abstractions made by Sten and Almass. They work well.
I like the minimalism of the Lost Hat provided by Frank.

My finalists are the 3 photos with the hand in the corner. I love how that shot worked out and was edited by HCS, BjørnJ and Jørgen.

HCS made a good grop of the hand foto but as a matter of personal taste the colour edits are a bit too heavy for me although they do work compositionally. Jørgen showed me that this kind of natural phenomenon looks very good in monochrome, sepia in particular, but I think there does need to be some kind of crop on the foto.

So I am going to select the edit done by BjørnJ because he has cropped just the right amount off the left side.

BjørnJ, when you get a moment, please start Edit Challenge #4.  ;D

Thanks everyone for participating!
I learn a lot from these Edit Challenges and hope you enjoy them too.

Thanks Andrea!

Now I, with my sometimes indecisive mind, has to pick a photo for others to edit. Hmmm. I need some time to think.
Maybe the one of you fishing for cod in Lofoten  ;D ;D
Are there any rules in this game?

No rules, really. No prizes. Just fun.

Some guidelines:

  • Try to offer a foto for the Edit Challenge which might actually need some editing.
  • Let the Edit Challenge last about a week.
  • Select a new Winner based on any reason you decide.
  • The Winner wins nothing! But does set up the next Edit Challenge.
