I think this is one of THE right flower for the focus stacking (I suppose it is stacked).  Impressive color and sharpness.

This time you certainly have get all the bits and pieces together ... Kudos.

Well, except for the species identification, that is. This is a Centaurea (knapweed), possibly C. montana. The genus is large though, so take this just as a suggestion.

Akira: To me, this is not the right subject for focus stacking; just the reverse. The best subjects don't have overlapping layers at different distances. This would best be done by a single shot, but it is stacked.

Michael, thanks for sharing your insight on the subject for stacking.  Maybe I should have said that this is one of the flowers most worth challenging for stacking.  And I think you proved it.
