Which 23mm (or so) for Zfc ?
« on: October 02, 2025, 21:56:44 »
I recently bought a second-hand Zfc. Nice, although I miss stabilization.

I am looking for a fast 23-24mm lens, MF or AF, preferably small (which is hard to find these days). And no, I am NOT going to mount the Sigma 24/1.4 + FTZ even though it is a good lens.
Voigt 23/1.2: has anyone experienced it? high price so high expectations... is it worth the money, picture-wise?

in a lower price range (and both AF):
Z24/1.7 maybe...
Viltrox 23/1.4 has some favorable reviews.

I am not looking for crazy corner-to-corner sharpness, but decent center sharpness wide open, relatively good bokeh (also at intermediate stops), little flare, moderate LoCA.

Any suggestion?

Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 gets my  nod. It is a remarkable performer and its moderate price is not to be ignored.

OK, that's one heavy vote :)  good news, as the Voigt is really expensive and the Zfc is not my "main" camera.

I have the 24 1.7, and I can vote for the fact that it’s a great lens even though it only has seven aperture blades. The bokeh is very nice and rounded as well as it’s sharp in the centre. Having an auto focus lens is nice as well and it’s my favourite field of view a.k.a. 35 mm equivalent An older alternative with an adapter is an old Minolta or Konica 58 mm 1.4 lens which makes a nice portrait lens for cheap when you’ve got the time to manually focus.Although I guess now Viltrox or some of these other Chinese companies are coming out with auto focus versions of that focal length.
