Guidelines for 'Your Daily Blog' *MUST READ*

When posting to this blog-style sub board, be sure to select the appropriate month for your post. Admins will if required move posts later, but this is unnecessary if people pay attention to the actual dates. We will periodically check and lock the monthly sections that have elapsed.

NB: It is the date when you post your communication that is relevant and decides which thread to join.

If you find yourself at the first day of a month and there is no thread open, start a new for that month.

The idea behind the blog is to motivate participants to actually go shooting and post that daily.

I see this as a nice workout style that gets me out with no excuses.

The Admins have decided that from 2017 onwards, this dedicated forum will change its emphasis  from 'daily' to 'monthly'. Meaning, members will be invited to submit their best monthly picture for each given month. Just a single submission per participant, please.

Alternatively, if the community agrees, we might consider weekly or fortnightly submissions. A poll will be put up later to assist in the final decision.

This will not constitute any contest as the images are not to be ranked in any way. They just serve as a useful reminder of what visual powers the membership community can deliver. Or so we hope.

The 'Daily blog 2016' will run to the end of December, 2016, and thereafter be read-only.

The guide lines for 2017 are changed slightly as a result of the poll conducted and deliberations within the NG Team.

Basically, a thread will be open for each month and closes at the end of that period.

NG Members can post up to 4 images for example dispersed as once a week. However, if deemed necessary, images can be posted more clustered say up to a maximum of 1 image per day until the quota is depleted.

NG Supporters have the added opportunity of a maximum of 30 images per month, but will adhere to the max. 1 per day rule.

If there is a story behind your image, you are welcome to post that as well.

All images posted must have been captured in the actual time period of the open thread.
