Projector lens housing
« on: August 08, 2024, 23:32:04 »
Hello all (after a while)...

Just wanted to share a video my recent project and a couple of sample photos taken using the lens.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgFcANlkvPM

I made two of this, one for myself, one for a friend.

Cheers,
Zang

  Very nice captures Zang  :)
And the video it’s self explanatory
Is the lens 16mm?

LOL... I skipped the part when I salvaged a junk lens to make the housing. There was a lot of metal cutting, filing, sanding etc.

Yes, the lens was Bell & Howell 2 inch f1.4 for 16mm.

Cheers,
Zang

The lens is re-housed pretty neatly.  The results look pleasing.  Good job, Zang!

Thanks a lot!

The focal length is specified as 2 inch. The lens has very low contrast, but focused properly, it is sharp enough. It has swirly out of focus background.
