Thanks for the illustrative 'tear-down' of the Bessa camera :)

I remember using the Bessa R2S for my Nikkor lesnes in S mount. Worked like a charm and with the Nokton 50mm f/1.5 the S.mount didn't feel so outdated at all !!

Thanks for this Richard

The first SLR camera i ever bought was a K mount Cosina in 1977
I learned the basics of B&W photography,  developing & printing thanks to it.

I was fortunate that the shop i bought it from offered a 2 year warranty for almost any fault.
That was useful as i needed to take it back to be fixed many, many times during that period
(and they'd have lost any profit they'd originally made on the sale!)

What a detailed, easy going, friendly, superb article. The images of the camera and even better, the ones taken with it.
 I'm a big fan.

Agree with Paco. Must locate my own Bessa somewhere in the cupboards. Meanwhile, a donation is in place.

Thank you very much! For some reasons, this series has the best response in all of my website :o :o :o
This just goes to show the lack of documentation for this camera ::)

I was very surprised at how accurate the metering is even compared to SLR cameras :o :o :o
