Hey, folks. I've been lurking for a year or more and finally decided to register. I've had difficulty getting on the site for the last week or so. When I got in today I decided to join. I really like what I've seen here and I hope I can offer some small contributions.
Been a photographer since about 1973. From 1976 through 1991 I worked as a news photographer for a daily paper here in Louisiana. With newspapers dying out, I wisely left the business and took a job in public service until I retired in 2010. Since then I've been totally worthless but I'm still enjoying myself shooting photos, mostly digital B&W. I started serious photography with a pair of Nikon F's and since then I've used various cameras and formats. Today I shoot with Fujis, mainly X-Pro2's, and several different Nikon DSLRs, DX and FX. I like the older DSLRs, I'm not a fan of EVFs in mirrorless cameras. I love the bright lines in the OVF of the X-Pros because it reminds me of when I used Leicas but I'm an SLR guy at heart and Nikon was my first love.
