Rollei -SL 35/2.8 Angulon on Z50

Today I tried a lens that has been on the shelf for many years.
A Rollei-SL QBM mount lens made by Schneider-Kreuznach many years ago. Don't think is it a very common lens. The Zeiss Distagon 35/2.8 may be more common. I had one but gave it away because it had a "ding" in the filter thread.
The sun went down too fast so not many pictures. First image taken with the lens shows that lens sharpness could be ok but I am a bit unsure how sharp the lens is.
The ability to handle sun into the lens seems very good.
First image just shows a "street photo" + 100% crop to indicate that lens quality is ok.
Then there is an image with sun centered in the frame and then an image with sun in top of frame and a crop of the image of the interesting part.
No lens shade was used and I dont' think it would have made a difference. I have seen lenses that handles less good that this? ....also modern lenses?
I good thing about a digital finder is that the sun in the frame will not "burn" the eye.
Schneider-K has always been into the "shadow" of Carl-Z?
Schneider-K was probably a cheaper alternative to Carl-Z.
Apart from that Componon-S was a fine enlarger lens.

A few more pictures here from the evening walk. It was overcast. Images shot at f/4.
Lens is ok sharp. A 100% crop of last image is shown.
A fine lens.

A couple of images shot at f/2.8 (full open aperture). From a cemetery where some well known Danes are buried.
The two persons shown here may also be known outside the country?
Lens shows ok sharpness wide open. It also depends if I was able to hit exact focus. It is not always the case.
A 100% crop of each image is attached.

Such a lovely lens, but I have to resist the temptation to buy one!

Yes, a nice lens.
I found out I have old Nikkor-S 35/2.8 (AI'ed) in mint condition so will try that to compare how the performance is.
I expect similar nice performance.

I just traded-in a 35mm 1.4 ai-s to help cover the cost of a new Nikon Z 50mm 1.8 S. I wasn’t using it enough to justify keeping it, and I wanted my first native Z lens.
Now I just need to resist the temptation to get another 35mm of some kind :-)

I have the AIS 35/1.4 and also an AI'ed Nikkor-O-C 35/2.
Probably 99% of all my SLR slide images are shot with those so I know how they perform on film but have not yet tried them on digital.
I was more a "35mm guy" than a "50mm". But on Z50 a 35mm is more like a "50mm".
The reason I try the old lenses is more for fun/interest to check how good they really are.
The Z-lenses seems to be almost perfect so not much to "discover" there :-)
The Z 50/1.8 I purchased when there was a good offer. The performance seems so good that I just should have it.
