Z50 + Voigtländer Prominent Ultron 50/2
« on: March 01, 2021, 22:29:55 »
During the weekend I tried out this combination using a Helicoid adapter.
I was surprised by the sharpness. The first image is of the setup and then two set of images (full frame + 100% crop) shot at f2.8.
Think lens out-resolves the sensor at this aperture. If sensor had more pixels I could probably read the washing instruction on the women's scarf.

Here is an image shot at f5.6 - 8. Also a 100% crop is attached. It was the following day with more sun. Colors appeared to be quite saturated using this lens.

Last one is to evaluate bokeh so shot at f2. There is good sharpness also at f2 and bokeh looks "smooth".....
Probably Cosina has used the name "Ultron" for a modern lens but the "real" Ultron is this one.....
