Longtime Nikon user, And hobbyist DIY's
« on: March 05, 2016, 00:33:52 »
I'm happy to find this site, great information on lens repair. I mostly work with Rangefinder lenses, but with instructions available for these SLR lenses- in my comfort zone.

I've been using Nikon SLR's since 1978 or so, Nikon RF's since 1996. For digital I use a Nikon Df, Leica M9, Leica M Monochrom, and Leica M8. I have a good set of Nikkor lenses in F-Mount, Leica mount, S-Mount, and Contax RF Mount.

Scheider Xenar 5cm F2.8 by fiftyonepointsix, on Flickr

One of my "hack jobs", a wartime coated 5-element Schneider Xenar from a Karat now RF-coupled using a Canon 50/2.8 focus mount that had bad glass. Probably the only one.
