SLRgear tests the new Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G
« on: July 09, 2015, 20:15:16 »
SLRgear tested the recently released Sony FE 90/2.8 Macro for the a7 series cameras, as anticipated it performs really good.

When interested in the a7 platform you can read the review here:

That's quite interesting. I have tested the Canon 100 before and it is at least the equivalent of the AFS Micro-Nikkor 105 mm f/2.8 G VR.

The Canon is at a disadvantage here with it's 20MP sensor but the comparison with the Zeiss 100/2 on a D810 is a fair one as Zeiss should have the advantage here (D810 sensor is superior to the a7R) :)

I noticed the choice of camera indeed. Notwithstanding that, the Canon 100 is a good lens and has nothing to be ashamed of.
