Snail comming to the end

Wanted to do this for some time any suggestions grateful  they keep moving got a few keepers.

I like the scale of the perch, its angle along the diagonal implies a bit more motion/action, nice color matching.

The background is nice and soft, but almost looks too uniform. Natural or man made? 

The image seems a bit muted on my monitor.  I opened it in PS set to Pro Photo color space, and it was much more colorful and engaging.

I always find that shooting info, re: gear and settings allow for a more informed critique.
