Another great series in B&W  :)
The hard limestone paved streets (as in #1) reminds me of a peculiar experience, relative to sound or ambiance. When walking in the same sort of street near the "Esplanade" at about 2 p.m., I could hear the sound of my boots (Camarguaises), resonating in a total silence (siesta), and hearing some other individual walking somewhere but never seeing him (her). While walking at exactly the same location at about 10 p.m. the streets were crowded, windows were wide open, people playing guitar, drinking, and I couldn't even hear my own steps in the overall buzz...

I had two feelings of the city, the first as a stranger (L'étranger-Camus), the second as a participant of a lively district ! Since, when I travel, I always try to "feel" the same spots at different times of the day !

Thanks for reminding me of this through your pictures  ;)

Thank you Jacques.
I'm glad my pics brings good feelings to you.
I had a similar experience while walking in the empty alleys in the afternoon. The silence let me hear footsteps approaching. My own footsteps couldn't be heard because I was using sneakers.
Quite a pleasant city.

So, you took only the 18/3.5 with you for this trip?  That is a very good practice.  I'm enjoying your travelogue with the super-wideangle.  Limitation is inspiration!

Thank you Akira.
I carried only one camera and lens while in the motorbike trip because of luggage space limitations.
I left the Df and the other two lenses in Barcelona where I rented the bike.
It’s a strange feeling because I like to walk with two cameras all the time. One wide and the other tele, with the fisheye for eventual situations.
