Major commotion on take off - common loon
« on: March 10, 2018, 21:59:32 »
This is from a different series than the previous take off image, but the angle of the bird to me, and the compression caused by the 600mm lens, really emphasized the splashing that takes place when they launch.

Not a great technical image, but I like how it captures the action of take off.

Advice and comments always appreciated.

Cheers

This one is exciting.

The upswept phase of the wings helps balance the image - and yes this one of the bird is still plane-like.  ;D

Fascinating capture - a very energetic if not elegant take off.
