Update on my flooded life:  I have just started to shoot the D850 and Tamron 100-400 VC that I acquired a month ago.  Bad weather and other problems kept me home.  No 100-400 photos to post yet, but they will come.  The D850 handles well.  There is something definitely different about how the mirror operates.  File sizes while larger than the D800, are smaller than I expected.  It's luxurious.

After only 5 months we have to move.  In December a cigar smoker moved in underneath us and he makes it impossible to open doors to get fresh air or use the patio.  In Houston, all smoker vs nonsmoker disputes in apartment complexes are resolved in favor of the smokers.  It's nearly immoral, and don't ask me why.  We are traveling right now, but will have to start hunting for a house when we get back.  The apartment isn't for me, at least with this smoker thing, so we will have to buy a house.

Wonderful scenery.
I like the second best, but it lacks some sharpness.

Ron, these are all spectacular landscapes.  Thank you for sharing.

Hope your residential problem will be solved.

Nice pictures, by the way.
