Winter Wonderland
« on: January 02, 2018, 16:57:46 »
A few days ago I was skiing on the Italian Alps near Turin.
Not much time for photography, but I managed to stop on the slopes for a few images with the RX100 MkI (the best camera is the one you have with you).

Suddenly a longing in me: skiing when I was little ... what a dreamy kind of sport!

Your Bardonecchia_DSC-RX100_DSC8230_CO11.jpg above did that for me. Thank you & Happy New Year, Simone!
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Thank you Frank and Happy New Year to you too!
The little skier at the bottom of the picture you mentioned is my sister :)
My daughter on the other hand did not want to have anything to do with skiing :(
I'll try again in a few years...

Happy New Year, Simone!

The last one with the moon is my favorite, but I love the way the lighting gives some pleasant atmosphere to most other images.

I'm supposed to live in a "winter Wonderland" myself, but almost no snow yet and what moderate amounts fell largely have gone. Today, I saw budding dandelions downtown Oslo. Weird Climate.

On the other hand, the Alps have not seem this much snow around Christmas for about 20 years.

Thank you Akira, I am quite pleased with these shots, considered how hastily they were taken.
