105mm lens from closed down printing lab

From a closed down printing lab, some 105mm Printer lens with fixed aperture,
guess it is around f5. Reaches infinity on suitable helicoid on Pana GH4.















Could be from maker Noritsu/Kyocera/Cosina/...

The near field capability seems to be better than the mid and far distance performance. The green mushrooms are phantastic, also the Physalis.

The bark of the tree seems mushy to my eyes, but this could be a resize effect.

Surely this printing lens was optimized for a certain magnification range, which could be 5-20x possibly, which would translate into 1/5-1/20x when used as a taking lens.

That is a great series !

I agree with Akira about the cherries' pic. Very nice result.

My favourite being definitely the close-up one representing lichens (Cladonias): The depth of field is incredibly wide for f/5 stop.

Also the pic of red leave stuck up in pine needles shows a very interesting back ground (bokeh).

The colours seems quite warm, which is probably due to a late afternoon light.

Anyway, a lens that deserves further review.
