Nice captures Akira and Brute :
Thanks

Thanks Nasos.
Great moon capture Nasos.

Think I'm kind of messed up with a couple different  night themes going.
I'll stay in this one.
Here are a couple of the comet from last night along the northern Oregon coast.
Kept reading where it was visible about 15 minutes after sunset. Sunset for us last night was 6:12 pm. Was getting a little discouaged waiting, trying to be patient. While finally about 7:38 pm I 'm looking threw the binoculars and  see  the comet.
While waiting for the comet just had to take sunset shots.
Sunset and first comet it shot with the 70-200. The last with the pf 500.

LOL, Nasos, that is laughingly identical to mine!  Beautiful shot.

Ken, these are also envious shots.  Nicely captured!

Nice sunset Ken, it certainly belongs here and I think the comet is still within our solar system so it certainly belongs here too for the moment.   ;D
Wow, untracked capture with the 500PF - quite challenging and you did quite well with the definition of the core.

Thank you Brute, Akira, Oivid :)

Brute these are nice captures and  you are right it need  a lot of patience to find the right moment :)
500 pf isn’t an easy option to capture this comet, f5.6 is limited. The better choice is 300-400mm f4 or f2.8 is more welcome, stacking shots is a very good technique to have the best results
