it has been a while 
saw some people looking for a guide for this lens so I was pressured to write one

I always like the look of the Nikon SP. The W-Nikkor 3.5cm f/1.8 would make a fine first lens for an SP system. I remember when SP could be seen under the counter at camera stores I frequented. I wish I'd bought one. I'd probably still have it.
