amazing what far away forest fires can do to a sun rise

took this last weekend in the UP of Michigan; major forest fires out west created the "smoky" effect!

Nikon Df with 180mm AF f/2.8..

I noticed a similar phenomenon out in Wyoming a few weeks ago.    It is both tragic and beautiful at the same time.
