Ron:

The degree of destruction in Texas is beyond anyone's worst nightmare.

Hopefully some of your most precious personal treasures were on high shelves and you will be able to retrieve some of them; and the insurance company will cover the rest of the damage and help you to get your lives back to normality as quickly as possible.

Ron if you need a glass of Port in the USA be sure to specify "Porto" or you might get served Thunderbird. :)

I hope things get better. I can't imagine though I might have to if the Pacific and North American plates decide to dance. If the air is clear today I could probably stand on my roof and see the San Andreas Fault.

People say the earth is angry but it doesn't care.

Good luck Ron, and make sure the next house is on a hill!
