On the way home from Cooperstown

Took the back roads on a cloudy, misty day and used the 135 f/2 D DC

#1 looks very familiar, not because I've been there, but the landscape looks very much like that of somewhere in Hokkaido where I came from.  Thanks for sharing.

And all images were shot with 135 DC!  :D

Looks like Cooperstown is a beautiful place. My fav is the second shot. Lovely wildflowers.

Thanks Jakov, Akira and Anirban for commenting.

Jakov - here’s the flip side of the sunflower shot. On one side of the road they were facing away, on the other side just the opposite. It's what might be called a target rich environment. I am learning how to properly use this lens (could learn from you) and was pleasantly surprised how much I like it for landscapes.

Akira - It looks like Hokkaido is about the same latitude (degree or so north) as where this farm in New York state is located.

Anirban - The purple flowers are Loosestrife and the yellow fields in the distance are the sunflowers once again.

Tom, you are doing a mighty good job of handling the 135DC and more importantly the sunflowers. I wouldn't know what to teach you.
It is a beautiful lens and I must use it more often.
Thank you

Tom, when our ancestors started to reclaim and cultivate Hokkaido some 150 years ago in the then-modern way, they introduced the necessary technology from the States because the land of Hokkaido is huge by the Japanese standard, which is symbolized by the silo slickly included in the first image.

Dutchess County is in my neighbourhood! It is indeed a very attractive part of the world —even in the rain!
