Excellent work from a kayak!

You couldn't get me in a kayak with or without a D500 and that 500mm lens. One of our sons has a couple of them, and he enjoys them. I, OTOH, enjoy not being in them.  ;)

Thanks Randy, I checked out the NuCanoe site.  No dealers in India.   I have friends with a Nature Retreat on one of the rivers.  Not many birds on the water but very close to one of India's better Bird Sanctuaries where the Mangroves and trees along the edges offer a great selection. .  Only about a 20 minute paddle in one of their Kayaks.  Your boat reminds of a friend's duck hunting boat in Tennessee, but nothing like the Kayaks at my friend's place.  The remote Trolling Motor sound cool.  I tried the 300 2.8 w/tc1.4 ( handheld) once and was very concerned.  The latest 300 f4 vr w/tc1.4 III might suite me better than the 500 f4  ;)
All the best and I look forward to more images,
Tom Hardin, Goa, India

Agree with the others - lovely shot.
read your description of your kayak. So intrigued by it and it potential, would love to see a picture of it one day if you would post one

This is so nice!
There is nothing like being on the water when making images of loons and ducks. You have created a very intimate image because of you low angle of view.
Love it!
