Walking on water
« on: May 05, 2017, 13:30:34 »
Not quite, but after an unusually dry winter and early spring Loch Tay is as low as I have ever seen - you can walk 2-3 hundred meters on rapidly-drying sandbanks, out into the loch, as the attached image shows. This morning, approx. 6.30am local time.

Very pleasant image, Dave.  The footsteps of a bird (?) are nice additions.

Thanks, Akira - the bird's footprints were really necessary, and I was searching for quite a few minutes to find the right foreground.

Thanks also, Andrew - it is a beautiful place and this week we have had great weather and light too.

first thing that struck Mongo was the beautiful clarity in this image and then the colour. It is also beautifully framed with leading sandbank line embroidered with the pattern of the local wild life. Lovely serene image that makes you feel like you are there. Thank you for the quick journey David.

Thanks, Armando. I like your recent night-sky images a lot, btw.
