Df - must have lenses?

Hi...I don't want to hijack a thread, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with these lenses (i.e. 20mm f/3.5; 50mm f/2; 105mm f/2.5) with the D750?  Is the 24mp sensor as nice for these lenses as the 16mp in the Df, or less forgiving?  Thanks!  (I currently use 1.8G primes on the D750 but would like to check out some of these MF Nikkors - this web site has a propensity to fire up the enthusiasm for the classics!)

I have all these and use them mostly on the Df. The 105 is quite usable on D800 (!) ; you will see some softness and visible LoCA if you pixel-peep wide open, but no mush.

I did not check the others. Anyway, the issue is not sensor resolution, but the size of the prints you aim at (and/or the crop factor).

The 15mm F3.5 works particularly well with the Df wide open at medium distances (3 to 12 meters) for poorly-lit interiors.  I've not tried it at other distances.

I love the lens on the Df. Great lens indeed, sweeter bokeh than the 50 and 55/1.2   and a lot  easier to focus.

No real soap bubble effect on my mint sample (from late 1961) but more a dreamy effect.  I think the 35-70/3.5 AIS and the 35/1.4  have a lot more soap bubble.

Amongst the many fine 'normals' 50 or thereabouts, my preference on the Df is for either the 50/1.2 or the latest 50/1.4 AIS. That is, if you haven't the lust or means for the Noct of course. The f/1.2 is quite temperamental, but rewarding in itself to tame, and the f/1.4 is a very fine all-rounder.

I briefly tried the old 58/1.4 and didn't like it enough to buy it. Your mileage may vary, though. These old lenses have a charm of their own.

I am more than impressed with the 45 f2.8AIP, especially as a standard prime on the Df. Whilst there are the obvious quirks with the very narrow focusing ring, one gets used to it. The 45 is one of the three primes I now choose as a light system together with the 20 f4AI and 105 f2.5AIS. Where longer FL might be needed, i have the 180 2.8D AF and longer.
