We had a chance to look at the Laowa at Photokina as well (at least one picture in the Photokina thread ;-)  )

(taken with the DF, exifs are wrong with respect to the lens)

I wish we had a Nikkor as wide as the Canon 11-24mm f/4 or this Sigma.
Maybe Nikon releases one this 100th year.

Personally I'm not a big fan of ultra wide zooms, I had a handful including the 14-24/2.8 but always used them on the widest setting :o

So instead of wielding the massive 14-24 I've turned to the more travel friendly Samyang 14/2.8 and would probably have a serious look at the current Laowa or Irix offerings if I was still shooting with a Nikon DSLR.

On the Sony I now use the Voigtlander 15/4.5 FE and plan to add the 10/5.6 FE which only weights a measly 375 grams vs the whopping 1.2 Kg for the Canon 11-24 and is even wider to boot :)
Cheers,
Jan Anne

Get the Samyang 14mm f2.8 and forget the zoom .Its so sharp you can crop 100% and still sell the prints ..focus ..why bother justset it at 5.6 and 10 ft
