A diferent take on Fall colors

Out taking photos of the fall colors up in the mountains when I saw this fellow coming slowly down from the high country after an early morning hunt.  Had my 105 F/2.5 Ai lens and it was the perfect opportunity to practice manual focus on an object moving towards me.  Later, I realized that he was snoozing on his trusty mule all decked out in his hunters orange.  He just slowly went on by.

He is nicely colour-coded with your images.
And I am damn sure he wont go missing.

This would look good in a snowy landscape.

This is obviously one of those new "driverless" mules.
The hunter just set its GPS, falls asleep, and the mule takes him home.

I agree that a snowy condition would have been really great.  Unfortunately, not much early snow this season. 

I assume that he puts color on the mule because he doesn't want the mule to be mistaken for a moose.

When I first spotted him, the mule appeared to be eating some grass at the side of the road.  After going by me, this happened again.  I have heard many times about sleeping in the saddle, but this first time I have actually seen it.
