I hate rubber boots
« on: October 29, 2016, 19:44:39 »
Taken earlier this summer at Nathan Phillip's Square in front of the Toronto City Hall.
While walking around the square I came across a man obviously making a statement with his attire and tee-shirt.
While I think the message was clean, concise and on point, I have no idea what exactly he was trying to say.
But he was kind enough to let me grab a quick informal portrait.

The story and portrait are interesting.

I didn't "get" the underlying message either.

Robert, I don't get the message either.  I regularly wear rubber boots and I find them to be very comfortable and kind to ones feet.  Using them with heavy socks is advisable.

I reckon that you could be right Frank.

I do not want to take this thread to the gutter but in my youth ' rubber boots ' were an euphemism for products purchased when the barber leaned over and asked " do you need anything for the weekend sir ? " 😎

You captured a nice smile!

I guess he is trying to protect animals?

The big question is why? I used mine today and they keept me dry. They fullfilled their intention :) The picture sure make me wonder if the reason he hates them is that he is using them as walkaround shoes in the city😎

In retrospect, I think the subject is just having a bit of fun with his attire and message.
Nothing more.
I really don't feel there is any deep, underlying meaning that requires a great deal of thought to grasp.
