Two trees and a lot of hills
« on: August 18, 2016, 11:18:32 »
I was out most of the day yesterday with the camera; three images have so far emerged from what I have processed

1) The River Lochay, near Killin
2) The hills of Lorn, seen from the Glencoe road
3) Last sunlight in Glencoe

Three fantastic images - three very different types of images - A joy to look at.

I would crop most of the top away of the reflection image,,, ;)

Whenever I see David's landscape images they bring back fond memories of our get together...

Thanks, Erik - nice to hear from you. You may be joking, but I'll take a look at that image cropped . . . you just never know . . .

Jakov - you know, I'm always thinking about that week - maybe we should have another one?   8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Scenes reminiscent of where I'm from...i.e. pretty pretty pretty. And you've done well here Dave (as usual) 😊

David, when I retire, and not tire, I am planning on visiting all NG folks all year round :)
Until then, time is limited unfortunately....

Thanks, Sten - do I remember correctly - you live in/near Stavenger? I remember docking there once, in a car ferry, in the middle of the night - the town had a mysterious or romantic feeling at 3am . . . I wanted to go ashore and explore.

Jakov - Scotland - Killin - really NEEDS another NG event! Honestly . . .

I'm all in fore future NG Events Killin or elsewhere in Scotland. My participation in the last one unfortunately became a little amputated by force majeur.

These are nice reminders of the Scottish upland landscape. Pleased the the "Law of seven layers" stating hill or mountain layering in a landscape can be discerned only to a depth of seven layers before atmospheric haze removes all contrast applies to this great countryside as well.

Great shots, David.  The 'seven layered blue hills' is absolutely my favourite. !

John - thank you.

Bjørn - I hadn't heard of this "seven layers rule" but it does seem to hold good in this case. It was a  great shame that you had to bail out early from the get-together - I think a lot of people found the second half of the week very productive, and of course you missed the famous dinner-party.  :-\

So I will keep hoping for a not-too-far-in-the-future repeat of Scotland 2016.   ;D

I wish you had let me know you were coming! Méchant! I am always very pleased to meet NG members.

You probably didn't see me in Glencoe because I was disguised as a photographer.   ;)
