Klaus, even on my mediocre screen, the fidelity of the lenses can be felt.

In which mount are they originally made?

Arigato domo Akira! Rather large M76 screw mount. My mechanic and I designed/made a
focusing adapter for it/them, fits quite well.

I'm not quite done getting those lenses (it is a series of different ones),
so bare with me that I won't disclose details by now, but will later ;-)

Not very common and a bit hard to locate, although I had one sleeping
here for many years, until a friend tried it out and the results blew me away.

And yes, they fit (or can made fit) Nikon-F mount rather easily!

.....  It seems "GOI" is the brand and one Mongo has never heard of previously. Worth investigating on your posted results. It will be interesting to see how available they are and at what cost compared to comparable of other brands. Thanks you for this very interesting post.

I looked into this a while back when I was researching Eastern Block lenses.
That 'name' or reference to GOI isn't a brand, but refers to a Russian(State) Optics Institute.
Can't for the life of me remember what the G initial stands for tho!

Many manufacturers would either use the GOI(optics institute) to develop the optics, or sometimes develop them themselves and have the calculations confirmed by GOI.

So it's not a brand of lenses as such!

I think Klaus's reference to the females and Prof. Volossov at GOI / St Petersburg refers to this institute.

GOI = State Optical Institute

State = Gosudarstvennii , hence the "G".
