And AF-S 500mm f/4G VR II, trying the AF.
Taken today.
I didn't see any small birds to assess how AF works in such difficult situation.

Mongo likes the quality of these images; particularly #1. The lighting looks a little "held back" but quite good in any event. Mongo suspects you did this to not blow out the whites.

Mongo would like to know if you used any noise reduction in camera or post processing or both ??

These egret images are excellent. These birds are welcome permanent residents in the UK now, apparently another sign of our warming globe.
