Twin Cities Pride, 2016
« on: June 27, 2016, 04:34:27 »
"Twin Cities Pride" is a nonprofit organization which runs an annual celebration in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota every June focusing on the LGBT community. The celebration features an annual “Pride Parade” on the last Sunday of June (that’s today) on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.
This year, support for the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting was front and center at of this pride festivities. Almost every group in the parade had a sign that reads either “We are Orlando” or “Orlando Strong”.

I was there for brief period, down with mild flu. Here are some shots taken today at the parade.
C&C are most welcome.

#1. Pride Parade begins

#2. Love for Orlando victims. Majority of the fund raised this year by "twin cities pride" non-profit, will go to next to kins of Orlando victims.

Anirban, along with the beautiful, well saturated prime colors, you captured some sort of sad feeling floating around this florid-looking celebration.

Impressive series, Anirban. Very colourful.  I like the 4th with the rainbowcolours.

What happened in PP with the second one?

Thank you Akira. Not sure how much I captured it, but yes, there was indeed sadness floating around.

Thanks John. I went crazy with PP in the second one - and somehow I liked that over-processed burnt version.  :-\
Here's another version of same shot. I installed Photoshop CC 2015.5 yesterday and somehow I'm not getting the color I like.

Nice coverage. Special mention to 4# for the intregration of surrealist/movement/color in the foreground with the rest, it works very good; also 7#, minimalistic, clear lines, color contrast, the character and the shadow, textures, use to vantage point...all that I like.

  Thanks for sharing
