I "only" took some gear with me on the way back home.

Do you remember seeing the glove when you collected your items, and can you remember what time it was?

Simone (simato73), I had also heard you (or someone??) lost some keys? Did you find them? I wanted to let you (or whomever) know that I looked under sofas & beds and under sofa cushions for lost keys and other items before I left the cottage but I did not find any keys. I hope you did find those.

I did find a 1-pound coin between two sofa cushions which I left for the cleaners to find. "-)

That was me, but it was a false alarm. The keys were in my suitcase and I found them after one day.

Well a Nikon EN-EL-3e battery was supplied with the D700, D300S, D300, and D200 cameras.  That might narrow things down a little.

(It also works in the D100, D70, D70S, and the D50.)

Have you heared of the famous Scotch "glove eater"?

It is a cat like creatue with a beaver tail that lives beneath
old oak trees and needs one glove a year to build a nest for
her litter to raise. Never seen one in UV or IR though.....

That cashmere "Red Herring" brand is a Scottish one, I think. So it might have been left by previous tenants unless some NG member went shopping while in Scotland? I certainly wanted to, but refrained this time due to the rather steep airline ticket price I'm going to be paying soon when the credit card bill arrives. (...groan....)

I know that glove was with the lost & found at some point because Anthony & I looked at it. It could be that it is hitch-hiking home even as I write. It might also have met a nice companion and is off on a lark. You never know with gloves.

P.S. Happy to hear the keys were safe.
