Any experts on Nissin flashlights? (Di700A)
« on: March 27, 2019, 18:37:31 »
Hi,
Was really happy with my Nissin Di700A with Commander. Bought a second used one just last week. First setup using the commander and two flashlights. All worked fine till my first flashlight went out with a bang after 10 shots. In its life it did possible 200......
Doesn't charge anymore (no high pitch noise) Black spot on the white bouncing card (right hand corner when inserted). Red light on.
Rest all seems to work including the zoom function, display and connection with commander.

Of course the distributor Kenro here in UK told me to buy a new one (not even a sorry to hear note):Email message: Hi, repair is GBP160 and a new one is GBP169, regards Kenro.
Don't think it's the main capacitor as the black spot on the bouncing card isn't that close to main capacitor but could be wrong. Also don't think it is the bulb for same reason.
Tempted to take apart (yes I know the high voltage) but wonder if there are people out here who have experience or advise. Thanks for feedback.
