Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby
D4s , Nikon 70-200 f2.8 @ f5.6 and f4 respectively, ISO 1000, abt. 1/500th. In both cases, the DOF was a little shallow.

Very pleasant separation of the kangaroos and their environment!

I remember those little rascals all too well. One night I was sleeping under the stars when we were loudly awakened by a group of wallabies attacking my plastic food box, somehow they managed to open it and were eating the cereal making load crunching noises. I tried to chase them off but they just grunted at me hahahaha, too funny.
Awesome images btw and thanks for bringing back some fine memories

thanks all for looking in and for your comments.
A quick derivation from the Monty Python crew. "there're not big tough photographers - there're just big softies when it comes to cuddly furry creatures" - LOL.
JA - glad this brought back some pleasant/interesting memories. Also glad to see your encounter ended at the "grunt" stage and that you didn't get into a full blown boxing match with them.
