Sigma SDQ & SDQ-H Cameras have been Announced
« on: February 25, 2016, 02:53:19 »
Two new mirror less cameras have recently been announced by Sigma:  the Sigma SDQ & SDQ-H, respectively with APS-C and APS-H sized sensors.  They support the Sigma SA lens mount.

They both use the latest incarnation of the Merrill/Foveon sensor, which hopefully will show an improvement in ISO sensitivity in low light scenarios and certainly have improved resolution.  Colour information is derived from all layers in the three layer stack, but just the top (blue) layer is used for lumanence and detail  data.
