Anticipation of delicious
« on: December 19, 2015, 07:08:03 »
Taken a few weeks ago in the St. Lawrence Market here in Toronto.
I was standing near one of the fine Butcher shops that also produces and serves excellent prepared meats when I saw a woman waiting while the butcher prepared her sandwich.
I loved her look of anticipation as he sliced the meat and I grabbed this shot.
Converted to black and white in Photoshop
motorized Nikon FA
Nikkor 24 f2 AIS manual focus
Fujichrome 400 ISO colour slide pushed 1 stop
exposure f2 @ 1/125th

I shoot with film. That's film. F...i...l...m. You remember film. It was in all the papers.

That must end up as  very rich and fulfilling sandwich, so no wonder she is looking enthusiastic :D

You captured a perfect moment.

I felt it on FZ and I still feel it on NG: the crop is VERY close and the skin tones of the girl are below expectation.

A  breeze to "fix" the overall image, but why bother? It can only degrade the look of authenticity.

The framing works fine for me.

It doesn't need "fixing".
I like it just as it is.

That might be the point: "authenticity is it" ... "technicality is peripheral"

Oh my...I'm hungry now!

I'm glad you're shooting film, more variety here is great.
