I feel the lighting on the leafs on both sides of the creek is very interesting. it is very diffuse and even. How does that come? Was that the natural light in that situation?

Frank I took this image on an overcast day which in my opinion is the best type of light to photograph water. Taken on a sunny day there would have been washed out highlights in the water and the trees and too much contrast. I used a polarizing filter that reduced the amount of glare on the leaves and satuated their colour. It also  enabled me to use a slower shutter speed that produced the streaks(air bubbles)  on the surface of the water.
