Autumnal scene.

This compo was made by nature only. I only intervened to add the small leaves at the bottom to improve (or not?) composition.

These Staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina) leaves prints are due after the leaves have fallen on the slab and rotten quickly because of rain. If you don't pick these leaves immediately, it could be a nightmare for your patio as the prints are not easy to get rid of.

Fortunetely, this slab was in its own and I kept it in my workshop.  but I still have to clean the patio ! ::) :D

Df+macro Leica elmarit 60mm f/2,8

# @f/5,6, 1/160sec;

# 100 isos;

# cloudy natural light.

The small leaves where you put them definitely improve the composition. I like it.

cool. cut the pation in parts, frame them and sell the framed "nature prints" through a gallery.

This will not only pay for a new patio...

compositionally, I'd have removed the larger leaves up top, and left only the lower one .. place the emphasis more on the stained print effect.

But as it is, a fantastic shot irrespective of my comment.

if it came to the look of a dreary dull plain grey slab of concrete or the printed mayhem in this slab .. I'd go for the printed version any day ... every day.
I hate the 'plain jane' concrete look.

Thank you for your interesting comments and suggestion, Arthur !

When I processed this image, I actually wondered if there is not too many red leaves in the frame. I will therefore try to remove the big ones (or better take a new picture as I kept the slab) as soon as I have free time and we can see the result.
