Please stick to talking about photography, not putting down people. Talk about the X1D, for example. That's what this topic is about.
The core subject of this thread is really valuable reading. It can be argued that the X1D holds interesting parallels with Nikon's D1, and it will hopefully be followed by improved models that will secure the future of MF photography alongside FX and DX. The superior performance of the existing Hasselblad digital system for landscape work speaks for itself (as well as other genres of photography). This perpetuates a system that's long been admired and desired by generations of enthusiasts and pros, and for years before the Apollo missions took Hasselblad into space (leaving some of their gear on the moon).
I doubt I'm alone in having learnt a very great deal from Ming Thein's site (on Nikon, Zeiss etc besides MF), and he stands high alongside a few others who selflessly share their experiences and expertise..... Thom Hogan and Steve Perry are two others, and the many who post here on NG. Thanks :-)
