Olivier - I totally agree with you about the text being superfluous - I was messing around with brushes so couldn't help my self  - but I am over it now

I like image #2 and how nothing is in focus

I tried to do some of #1, and i got results similar to what you show here, the PS effect works well, the resulting image ... not so much, I can't really pinpoint why I do not like it that much
