Portraits - BW Conversion
« on: October 02, 2015, 13:34:50 »
After seeing all the great BW portraits shots over last few weeks, realized my BW post processing skills suck. Tried learning from scratch and converted few old portrait photos into BW. Looking for feedback on BW conversion and general criticism as well. Hoping to learn a few tips.

I like the conversion you have done
the skin has texture and the tones are pleasant

Converting to B&W for me has been an evolving skill, first relying only on Nik siver efex pro , lately relying more on LRs B&W conversion and playing with the color sensitivity, often doing color saturation first in color mode, then back to b&w, iterate probably more than once until I get something that I like

Thank you Armando. I've seen tons of BW images you've shot. They always look very natural and balanced.  Thx again.
