Dreamscape

Various things are keeping me at home just now, so I keep photographing the same things while trying to find something new in them. Today, a hazy autumnal morning on Loch Tay allowed me to make a number of useful images.

That's really a dreamscape... :-) The time when I was on the Loch Morar was, alas, one without a camera ! So I revisit  Scotland through your great pictures... :-)

Bjørn and Jacques - thank you both very much.

Bjørn - I am extremely lucky, and not just in where I live. But Killin lies at the centre of the ancient clan territory of Breadalbane, which has always been famous for its beauty.

Jacques - we had a holiday cottage at Morar for about ten years, and I love that area, but times got hard and we had to sell the cottage. We still go back though, at least once every year.

The branches and their reflection make a symbolic writing, quite well suited for this magic place.
Would it be possible to move to the left and superimpose this with the long and curved cloud (and it its reflection) on the right hand side? Maybe with a longer lens?
It would be a different image of course, but one I may enjoy as well!

Nice assortment of sticks you have there :)
I quite like the unusual choice of white balance.

I just had A few instances of mist over lakes in Finland, it's a nice subject if you can stand the cold while standing (pun intended).

Olivier - I don't know if what you suggest would work or not - I'll probably be down there tomorrow and I'll  have a look.

Wow, very nice Dave. My youngest did her study abroad in Scotland. She loves it there and goes back every year. We are in our fourth year of a drought here.

Thanks very much, Bruno and Gary.

The head of Loch Tay at dawn is a very special place and I get along there a couple of times every month except May - July when dawn is around 3am; too early for me. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by an early trip down there.
